- Metal Blade Records Logon With Red Guitar, without the Blade/Axe
This is the re-release issue of Slayer's "Live Undead" with the bonus track: Chemical Warfare It has been claimed that "Live Undead" album is not a live album, but a studio recording with audience noise added to it. That claim is false, however. Slayer recorded this album by playing live to a small audience in a studio as the venue.
For die-hard Slayer fans, the scorching intensity of a live performance is unmatched. Thankfully, the band's early fury is captured on the re-released "Live Undead" 12" vinyl LP album. This reissue includes the bone-crushing bonus track "Chemical Warfare," a studio scorcher that complements the raw energy of the live recordings.
While some rumors swirled around "Live Undead" being a studio recording masquerading as a live album, those can be put to rest. Slayer brought their signature aggression to a small audience within a studio setting, delivering a potent live experience that transcends the limitations of a traditional concert recording.
The raw energy of the crowd mingles with the band's blistering performance, creating a sonic assault that throws you right into the mosh pit. Tracks like "Black Magic" and "Die By The Sword" showcase the band's early thrash attack at its most potent, while the inclusion of "Chemical Warfare" adds a polished studio sheen to the overall experience.
