Album Front Cover
Bob Marley performing live on stage, mid-motion, holding a Les Paul guitar, with vibrant red, green, and yellow design framing the photo on the 1975 German vinyl release cover of Wailers Live.

Front cover of the original 1975 German vinyl LP release of "Wailers Live" by Bob Marley & The Wailers. This vivid concert photo captures Bob Marley in a moment of raw energy on stage. His dreadlocks whip around as he turns his head mid-performance, face blurred in motion. He wears a light denim shirt unbuttoned over a white shirt, slung with a red-gold-green striped guitar strap, playing a classic Gibson Les Paul with rich wood tones and a distinct round toggle switch.

The background is dimly lit, likely a packed concert hall with indistinct silhouettes and shadows of other musicians, amplifiers, and stage structures. A fellow band member can be seen faintly on the left. The top of the image reads "Bob Marley and The Wailers LIVE!" in vibrant, bold red, yellow, and green brushstroke-style lettering—mirroring the Rastafarian colors. The outer edge of the cover is framed in the same tricolor vertical strokes, giving the entire image a fierce, dynamic border that reflects the power and political energy of Marley’s live presence.

Back cover of the original 1975 German vinyl LP release of "Wailers Live" by Bob Marley & The Wailers. The image captures a high-energy live performance at the Lyceum Theatre in London on July 18, 1975. Bob Marley stands in the center, singing into the microphone with his Gibson Les Paul guitar, clad in a light denim shirt. His dreadlocks fall around his face as he connects with the audience.

To Marley's left, the I-Threes (Judy Mowatt, Marcia Griffiths, and Rita Marley) deliver backing vocals in flowing dresses, with Rita wrapped in traditional headwear. On the right, Aston “Family Man” Barrett plays bass, and other band members jam under soft stage lighting. A bold horizontal Rasta-colored stripe (red, yellow, green) cuts across the middle of the sleeve, separating the concert photo from the track listing and technical credits above.

The top lists the album’s powerful tracks, split into Side One and Side Two, including “Trenchtown Rock,” “Burnin’ & Lootin’,” and the iconic “No Woman, No Cry.” Beneath the photo, detailed credits note the live recording by Rolling Stones Mobile, mixing at Basing Street Studios, and production by Steve Smith, Chris Blackwell, and Bob Marley himself. The Island Records logo is placed at the bottom, along with credits to designers and photographers Adrian Boot and Bob Ellis.
