Personal Life: John Douglas Lord was born in Leicester, Leicestershire, England, United Kingdom on 9 June 1941. He was the first child of Reginald Charles Lord 18 December 1907 and Miriam Hudson 16 October 1912.

When he was 54 years old, his mother Miriam Hudson died (1995). When he was 55 years old, his father Reginald Charles Lord died (1996).

He married Judith Feldman in 1969. He was 28 years old when he married Judith Feldman. He had one son with Judith Feldman: Sarah Lord.He got divorced from Judith Feldman in 1975.

He married Vickie Gibbs around 1975. He was 34 years old when he married Vickie Gibbs. He had one daughter with Vickie Gibbs: Amy Lord.

He died as a result of complications from pancreatic cancer. Jon Lord had been diagnosed with the illness in 2011 and underwent treatment, but unfortunately, his condition worsened, leading to his death at the age of 71. On 16 Jul 2012, in London, England, United Kingdom when he was 71 years old. In 2012, he was buried in Hambleden (St. Mary) New Churchyard, Hambleden, Wycombe District, Buckinghamshire, England.

"Before I Forget" is the 1982 solo album by Jon Lord, featuring a largely conventional eight-song line-up, no orchestra. Jon Lord uses synthesizers more than before, principally to retain an intimacy with the material and to create a jam atmosphere .
