Elvis Costello an English singer-songwriter and musician. He was born Declan Patrick MacManus in London, England in 1954. He began his career in the mid-1970s as a member of the band "Stiff Records" and then began recording under the name Elvis Costello. He released his debut album "My Aim Is True" in 1977, which received critical acclaim and established him as a rising talent in the British punk and new wave scene.
Throughout the late 1970s and 1980s, Costello released a string of highly acclaimed albums and singles, including "This Year's Model," "Armed Forces," "Get Happy!," and "Punch the Clock." He also collaborated with a wide range of musicians, including Paul McCartney, Burt Bacharach, and The Brodsky Quartet.
In the 1990s and 2000s, Costello continued to release albums and tour, and also began to focus more on his songwriting. He wrote and recorded with many other musicians and bands, such as Paul McCartney and The Roots, and also released several albums of country-influenced music. Costello's career has been marked by a diverse range of musical styles, critical acclaim, and a large and dedicated fan base.
In addition to his music career, Costello has also written several books and has made appearances on television and in films. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2003 and has received numerous awards and honors throughout his career. Costello continues to tour and record music to this day.
Elvis Costello is currently married to jazz pianist and singer Diana Krall. They were married in 2003. Krall is a Canadian musician who has released several critically acclaimed albums and won multiple awards, including multiple Grammy nominations. Costello and Krall have collaborated on several occasions, both in the studio and on stage. They have also been known to perform each other's songs during their solo performances. They have two children together.
