"A Change of Heart" is Golden Avatar in 1976, pressing the needle straight into that devotional prog/jazz-rock fog where guitars and keys don't show off, they circle and chant. It sits on Sudarshan Disc (BBT 108), which already tells you this isn't a radio-friendly grab for glory - it's a purpose-built record that found its people the slow way.

The sound is warm and a little grainy in the best vinyl way: steady drums, lines that glide instead of stomp, and melodies that keep turning like they're looking for the exit but deciding to stay. "World Beyond The Sky" opens the door, "Swetadwip" stretches out and breathes, and the title track "A Change Of Heart" lands with a calm insistence rather than fireworks.

The spiritual spine isn't some hidden footnote - it's right there in the titles: "Bhagavad-Gita", "Oh Govinda", "You're Not That Body". Even if you came for fusion chops, the record keeps tugging the mood back toward contemplation. Not everybody's idea of a Friday night, but that's kind of the point.

The credits on this page pin it to Golden Avatar Studio in Los Angeles, with Carl Lange handling production, and Allen Zentz Mastering on the technical end.
