Doughboys Serve Up a Slice of Power Pop Perfection with "Happy Accidents"
Album Description:

In the midst of the 1986 music scene, where hairspray and synthesizers reigned supreme, Canadian quartet Doughboys burst onto the scene with their debut album, "Happy Accidents." This power pop gem is a breath of fresh air, a glorious throwback to the jangly guitars and infectious melodies of the 60s and 70s.

Forget the neon spandex and overblown production of the era; Doughboys strip things down to the essentials. John Kastner's vocals are a mix of youthful exuberance and world-weary wisdom, while the band's guitar-driven sound is pure power pop bliss. It's the kind of music that makes you want to roll down the windows, crank up the radio, and sing along at the top of your lungs.

"Happy Accidents" is packed with catchy hooks and irresistible melodies. The opening track, "Shine," is a perfect introduction to the band's sound, with its jangly guitars and soaring harmonies. Other highlights include the anthemic "I Will," the bittersweet "No One To Blame," and the infectious "Twenty-One."

Produced by Doughboys themselves and engineered by Dale Morningstar, "Happy Accidents" was recorded at Grant Avenue Studio in Hamilton, Ontario. The album's DIY aesthetic perfectly captures the band's youthful energy and unpretentious attitude.
