Nightwish is known for its powerful vocals, intricate instrumentals, and poetic lyrics.

In 2005, Tarja Turunen was dismissed from the band, and she was replaced by Anette Olzon. Olzon's first album with the band, "Dark Passion Play," was released in 2007 and was another commercial success. However, Olzon left the band in 2012, and she was replaced by Floor Jansen, who remains the band's lead vocalist to this day.

In addition to their music, Nightwish is also known for their elaborate stage shows. The band's concerts often feature theatrical elements, such as costumes, pyrotechnics, and other special effects.

Nightwish has released several critically acclaimed albums over the years, including "Once," "Endless Forms Most Beautiful," and "Human. :II: Nature." The band has also won numerous awards, including several Finnish Emma Awards and a Metal Hammer Golden God award.
