Album Description & Collectors information:

Alcatrazz was an American rock band that emerged in the mid-1980s. The band was formed by former Rainbow vocalist Graham Bonnet and featured several prominent musicians, including guitarist Steve Vai, who had previously played with Frank Zappa. Alcatrazz's 1985 studio album, "Disturbing the Peace" , is widely regarded as one of the band's most iconic works. T
"Disturbing the Peace" marked a significant shift in Alcatrazz's musical style. The album's sound is characterized by Bonnet's powerful vocals and Vai's virtuosic guitar playing, which blended hard rock and heavy metal elements with classical and progressive rock influences. The album's opening track, "God Blessed Video," is an energetic and anthemic song that showcases the band's signature sound.

The album's themes are also reflective of the political and cultural landscape of the 80s. The song "Disturbing the Peace" touches on themes of social injustice and political corruption, while "Desert Diamond" tells the story of a woman who leaves her home in search of a better life.

"Disturbing the Peace" received critical acclaim upon its release. Allmusic's Eduardo Rivadavia gave the album a four-out-of-five-star rating and praised Vai's guitar playing, writing, "Steve Vai's jaw-dropping guitar playing and arrangements take center stage throughout." The album also received positive reviews from Kerrang!, Rolling Stone, and other music publications.

"Disturbing the Peace" had a significant impact on the rock music scene of the 80s. The album's sound and themes influenced other bands in the genre, including Whitesnake, Dokken, and Van Halen. The album also established Alcatrazz as a major player in the rock music scene of the 80s and helped launch Steve Vai's solo career.
