Afterburner is the ninth studio album by American blues rock band ZZ Top, released in 1985 The most successful single released from this album was "Sleeping Bag", which peaked at No. 1 on the Mainstream Rock Tracks and No. 8 on the Billboard Hot 100.

  Bob Ludwig is an experienced and well-known mastering engineer, he has mastered thousands of music records. He has been vice-president of Sterling Sound, vice-president and chief engineer at Masterdisk and in 1993 owned his own mastering facility Gateway Mastering Studios, Inc at Portland, Maine.
