This is a new section with an index of all persons (musicians, producers, sound engineers, photographers, artwork artists) with contributions in the Hard Rock and Heavy Metal (inc Black/Death/Speed/Thrash) music from the late 1970's, until early 1990's.

Ralph "Ralf" Hubert - Producer, sound engineer, sound mixer and bass player with "Mekong Delta" has produced, engineered and mixed many heavy metal band's album. Some of these bands include: Brainfever, Steeler, Fact, Warlock, Living Death, Atlain, Stormwind, Darxon, Hunter, Lions Breed, Metal Sword, Overdose, Breaker, Mad Butchter, Carrie, Invader, Holy Moses, Siren, Target, Kreator, Sacred Chao. Being a producer and sound engineer he has been responsible (influencer) of the Teutonic Metal sound of the 1980s.
As a musician" Ralph Hubert" using the alias "Björn Eklund" he played bass with the band "Mekong Delta" since 1985 , other bands he performed with are Schwarzarbeit and X-Mas Project.Ralph Hubert was also co-founder of "Aaarrg Records" in 1986.

 

Randy Burns is an American Music producer, Sound Engineer, and sound mixer. Responsible for the recorded sound of many Heavy Metal bands during the 1980s. Bands he has worked with include: 3rd Stage Alert, Agent Steel, Aversion, Bitter End, Chris Poland, Crumbsuckers, Dark Age, Dark Angel, DBC, Dead End, Death, Excel, Helstar, Kreator, Leatherwolf, Lizzy Borden, Ludichrist, Megadeth, Morgoth, Mortal Sin, Nuclear Assault, Possessed, Suicidal Tendencies, Uncle Sam, Zoetrope.

 

Roberto Falcao is producer and sound engineer of the first King Diamond record "No Presents for Christmas" on later "King Diamond" albums, he is guest playing the keyboards.

Rob Mathew - Guitars on "ATOMKRAFT - Queen of Death"

Rob "Wacko" Hunter - Drums, Sound Engineer. Drummer with the Speed Metal band "Raven" from 1979 until 1988, and the Thrash Metal band DéTENTE. Since 1981 also active as Sound Engineer and engineered albums for bands like: Overkill, Raven, "At War", M.O.D. and others.

Rodney Matthews - a British illustrator and conceptual designer of fantasy and science fiction. This webpage focuses on his artwork for album covers from the late 1970s until the early 1990s.

Rodger Bain is a British music producer and during the early 1970s he has been known for producing music albums for Black Sabbath, Budgie, Judas Priest.

Roger Probert a producer of records for Heavy Metal bands, Loudness, Dead On, Fates Warning, E-X-E.

Roland Hag (Gernany) was the guitarist of the bands: Axe Victims and Steeler.

Ron Akiyama (his name is sometimes misspelled as "Ron Akiama") is a photographer and has done photography for the albums of "Anthrax", "M.O.D." and "Overkill".

Ron Gonzales - Founding member of "Abattoir" band.

Ronnie James DIO, the KING of Heavy Metal with a long career (starting in 1957) being lead singer (vocals) in many different bands. DIO's career in a nutshell: 1957 The Vegas Kings, Ronnie and the Rumblers, 1958-1961 Ronnie and the Redcaps, 1961-1967 Ronnie and the Prophets, 1967-1968 The Electric Elves, 1968-1972 The Elves, 1972-1975 ELF, 1975-1978 Rainbow, 1979-1982 Black Sabbath, 1982-2010 DIO (Band), 1981-1982 Black Sabbath, 2006-2010 Heaven & Hell.

Ross Friedman aka "Ross The Boss" is mostly known for being founding member and guitarists for the "The Dictators" and "Manowar" bands. In 1984 he used the alias "Ross The Boss" to produce the album "Unlaced" by the "BlackLace" band.

Ross Halfin a British Photographer starting his career in the 1970s photographing many of the punk bands. Later he relocated to the USA and photographed many rock and metal bands from AC/DC to UFO, including "Black Sabbath", Aerosmith, "Iron Maiden" and many others.

Roy Rowland aka "Roy Macaroni" Rowland is a sound engineer, who during the 1980s engineered a dozen important heavy metal albums. Some of the bands he has worked for are: Kreator, Lääz Rockit, Onslaught, Rogue Male, Sabbat, Satan and Testament.
